Many passages in the Bible talk about following God's commands, and keeping God's laws.
One of many is Psalm 119.
Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! 2 Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, 3 who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways! 4 You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently. 5 Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes! 6 Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments. 7 I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous rules. 8 I will keep your statutes; do not utterly forsake me!
(Psalm 119:1-8)
In Deuteronomy you find a whole chapter (28) that talks about all the benefits that comes with walking in God's laws and keeping his commands. I have learned that the Lord is so faithful, very close and attentive His to the prayer of the just.
The more I learn to forgive, love, give my troubles to Him and confess my sins, the more I will feel His peace, joy grace, favors and blessings. It makes you feel God's closeness. Then everything you do is prospered by his grace over you. Hallelujah! How marvelous and faithful are his promises.
Today I want to encourage you to read Deuteronomy 28 and know for yourself His plans and promises for your life.
Prayer: Heavenly Father thank you for your word, promises and purpose for my live. Help me to walk in your ways and keep your commands every single day of my life in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray .
