Light in the darkness.

Life as we know it, goes by so fast. We're living in a microwave society, our sensitivity and love for other's is hard to be found, less apparent, short on happiness and we relay on wrong things. Vanity, anxiety, depression are the outcomes of the world. We never seem to be completely happy. Something is always missing. There is never time for those things that really matter. What is the meaning of doing what you do, when you do it?

''If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have no love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith,so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.'' (1 Corinthians 13:1-3)

People are not being tolerant with others anymore. We act by impulse most of the time. It's hard but true. You can see it in the news every day how people, politicians, countries are not sensitive to others anymore. Selfishness, greed for power and control have been taking over. Pure evil. But everything I just wrote and more are the things already announced by the Bible. Where is the love and respect for and to others as the Bible commands us? People are feeling more frustrated, angry, always seeking someone to blame instead of practicing self control, patience, sympathy and love. We don't think before acting anymore. Many are so prompt to blow up with anger and rage. Many can't enjoy their families, jobs, or the fruit of labor. This is not what God wants for you! It's a result of a broken world, broken by sin.

But our truth is this;

''I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. (John 17: 14-16)

We are not of this world even though we live in it, but our citizenship is in heaven with our King Jesus. However as long as we are here, let's not ignore what God already announced about the dangerous time we live in, We need to be encouraged by our hope of Glory and continue walking in the trust that He is the one that overcomes the

world and so do we in His name.

So if during your earthly journey you have been hurt, God wants to heal your wounds. He wants to cleanse your heart so that you can live full of the fruits of the spirit. Be light in the middle of a dark world!

Prayer: Father please enable me to be light in this dark world. Help me to be healed from my past and even the present things that I can't change or control. Fill me with your love, so that I can do all things in your name and enjoy the important things that you have granted me. Amen!
