It draws my attention when I think about how God called David ''a man after His own heart'' (see; 1 Samuel 13:14). It impresses me how God saw David, a man with weaknesses and sins that the Bible registers, as still being of His heart. What I can see over and over through scriptures is that David knew how to humble himself before the Lord, he confessed his sins, seeking God constantly, worshipped God at all times, and crying out his worries before the Lord.

This motivates me to exercise what David practiced before the Lord. Truly there is no better thing than being in the presence of God, giving up every burden, and all the things that are stealing our peace. I can only describe it as AMAZING! spending time with God, feeling his embrace which gives us the assurance that we need. Every thing will be okay because now He is in control and will take over.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

The beauty of His everlasting love is just above human understanding. Dare to rest in the peace of His faithfulness. He cares so much for and about you! He wants to be part of your every day life. Just invite Him to do so.

Prayer: My Lord I invite you today to be part of my everything, and even more than that please BE my everything in Jesus name. I give my wearies and burdens to you, carry them because they are to heavy for me. Now I receive your loving embrace. Thank you Father for your peace. Amen!
