Walking in to the unknown

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'' (Jeremiah 29:11)

My now husband and I dated long distance for two years before I finally got my visa approved to move from Dominican Republic to the United States. When the approval came through we were so excited about it, but as I was wrapping my life up and changing countries, the thought of leaving everything behind to start a new life became terrifying.

I was scared of the unknown, and wondering if it was the right time, despite the love I had for my then fiancé.

At the time, just the fact of stepping in to a whole new world made me scared .

But I have learned, with time, that God prepares our lives to be promoted from season to season, so that we can walk in the promises that he has destined us for.

''Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.'' (Hebrew 10:38)

''Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be dismayed: for the Lord your God is with you where ever you go ''(Joshua 1:9)

God calls us to move forward guided by His Holy Spirit, fear is an emotion planted by the enemy to hold us back from our prophetic destiny in Jesus Christ.

Be bold! Be courageous, and have an open heart to hear His guidance for your life.

Prayer: Thank you Lord, for you are in control of all my days. You have my present and future in your hands. Fear doesn't have any power over me when I declare your power, protection and guidance in Jesus name.
